Ferrari SF90 Lightning Carbon Fiber Wide Body

Inspired by the P-38 Lightning and F-35 Lightning II, ZACOE's SF90 Widebody presents a distinctly different stylistic approach. Instead of catering solely to track-focused settings like the SF90 XX, we aim to provide SF90 owners with an alternative perspective—one more suited to everyday street use, while showcasing the combination of ZACOE's unique design language with the first mass-produced hybrid Ferrari in a full carbon fiber widebody kit.

Diverging from the previous 296 GTZ design, we focus the SF90 "Lightning" on a more geometric and refined design ethos. Starting from the front end, we draw inspiration from the design of the P-38 Lightning fighter aircraft, extending it with a three-piece front lower spoiler and incorporating our signature openwork design and dart fins into the widebody section of the front fenders. The presentation of these fins is particularly unique, with the upper fins extending towards the body and featuring a rear openwork design, while the lower fins extend outward, complementing the exposed wheels, thus reinterpreting classic futurism with modern techniques. Additionally, we added brake cooling vents to the fenders to reduce temperatures within the wheel arches and effectively dissipate the turbulence generated at high speeds. This design, coupled with the exposed wheels, imbues the widebody kit with a traditional racing-inspired sportiness.

The side profile is often a neglected part of the discussion of automotive design. We address this with the single-piece side skirt to stabilize the vehicle's dynamic body during driving and enhance the widebody's visual integrity. The rear half of the widebody extends rearward from the single-piece side skirt, blending into the geometric curves of the lower door and rear fender. The rear of the ZACOE SF90 Lightning draws inspiration from the fifth-generation fighter jet F-35 (Lightning II), adding a modern muscularity to Ferrari's iconic soft lines. Here, our ingenious design is an angled break at the ten o'clock position at the rear wheel, reminiscent of lightning streaking through twists, conveying speed and agility. This accentuates the gentle curves of the wide rear fender at the twelve o'clock position. Finally, the hollowed-out fighter jet wing element floats to the air intake, adding ZACOE's unique design aesthetic to the entire widebody silhouette and showcasing their mature craftsmanship in carbon fiber kit production processes.

Lastly at the rear, we conclude with the massive carbon fiber rear wing and two aero spats. The substantial rear wing increases the vehicle's downforce, providing greater stability for this beast with over a thousand horsepower. The two spats extend outward, echoing the angles of the factory rear diffuser and the descending angle of the rear fenders, enhancing the sleek layers at the rear, which complement the lines of the front half. The volume, the curvature, and the hollow designs of the kit require high demands on the craftmanship. It showcases here at ZACOE's design team's solid artistic sense and manufacturing prowess in carbon fiber production processes.
